yesterday, manhattan decided that it loved me so much that it could not bear to let me go. it let me know the full extent of its' affection for me by letting me stand at the bus stop from 8pm until 9:45, when my feet ceased to function, my phone battery was dead, and the "every half hour" express bus was still nowhere in sight.
luckily, i had enough juice in my phone to turn it on and quickly jot down a couple of phone numbers...and my life was saved by kevin and his family, who live a mere 10 blocks from where i work!
whee!!!
except staying up till 4am watching x-files and gratuitous-shirtlessness-of-moulder is probably not the best idea when one has work at 9am.
